In the long history of baseball, wonder if three sure-fire Hall of Famers were ever before traded in a 24-hour period?
Maybe the Elias Sports Bureau has the answer.
I wouldn’t call Pudge “sure-fire.” He has been implicated in the steroids scandal, and until further information is made available, he is still under suspicion.
Pudge will go in eventually — heck eventually the best players in the steroid era will get the Hall call. He’s not in the Mitchell Report. Credentials — one of the best defense catchers in history (13 Gold Gloves). A .302 lifetime average, 293 home runs, nearly 2,600 hits, AL MVP in 1999. He’s in.
